What is critical reading? And what does it have to do with writing?
Critical reading is the foundation for effective critical writing. Critical reading is active engagement with a text: asking questions about the text as you read, identifying and understanding the implicit and explicit arguments in a text, and exploring the underlying questions and arguments in texts.
